First, welcome to the board, it's a GREAT place. Second, my condolences on your diagnosis, but good for you for dealing with it. If your trip will involve hotels and restaurants, just remember Heather's mantra for the waiters, "Low fat, no red meat, no dairy, please." Avoid trigger foods, eat as much bread and rice and tortillas as possible, eat frequent small meals. If you haven't started a soluble fiber supplement, it would really help. Just go slow. Are you D or C (diarrhea or constipation)? If D, pack some Imodium for emergencies.

You might want to post the same question on the IBS Diet board. A lot more people hang out there than here, so you'll get more answers!!
