I thought it was flagy but it says on the prescription: ic metronidazole 500 mg. i feel bad as she went back to camp after being out of the country where her heartburn flaired up so bad (who knew watermellon was so bad!). Then when she cam back her bowels were going 7 times versus her 3. she is wiped and saddened by all this. it took us a couple of weeks to realize that it was more than her ibs. she had it pretty in control before the summer. she is going to do the cd (i've already ordered) and see a therapist as a monthly check. she has done biofeedback before and did well. i love reading this as it does give such hope. i had ibs through college and for 4ish years after. for me it faded away and i did yoga and worked on breathing exercises. i guess it is probably still there but so rare. thanks for your support. i'm trying to figure out how to support her and not have her focus on each pain and bowel movement. when she calls from camp, i am an outlet but i also want her to realize she can and needs to get through this. she didn't miss any activites on her trip which was great. and even with one where half the kids couldn't get through it, she did. so, i am hoping that determination gets her through this to calmer grounds. she is a worrier and has always focused on her ailments. i welcome any advice, especially from teens as to what is the best way of supporting.
