I truly believe you can name most any symptom and someone with IBS has experienced it! One thing triggers another. For people like me, I'm fine until I start having an "attack" - then the physical leads to the emotional/mental aspects, so I may wake up in the middle of the night with my heart pounding, burning up/sweating, but by the time I'm up, I'm cold and clammy (some of this may be hormones too - I'm 59! ...
