Thursday 6/26 Breakfast: oatmeal, acacia (1/2 tsp), brown sugar Snack: pretzels Lunch: grilled boneless/skinless chicken breast on french bread, plain (boy was this dry), gingerale (10 oz. sipped on rest of day). Dinner: eggplant parm sub (with red sauce and cheese), diet 7up.
Notes for today: Bloated and gassy after dinner, feels like I need BM but can't go.. my guess I'll get D before bedtime.. It's not bad, just annoyance.
Went to my first endocrine doctor appointment today. I really liked this guy. He was more thorough than my general doc. It's official, I have diabetes type 2. My gp kept giving me conflicting answers: yes you have it/no don't worry about it, just lose weight. Game plan is to prevent becoming insulin dependent. Being officially diagnosed with diabetes is hard for me because my mom was diabetic and died in 2002 from heart attack. Not that I think it's a death sentence, it's more of a constant reminder of the struggles my mom endured and how much I miss her every single day. I have to make appointment with dietician for next week. I'm going to take Heather's book and information with me. I made sure this doctor was well aware of my struggles with IBS/IBD.
