Newbie with questions

I was taking Zelnorm until about two weeks ago. Once I read the news I stopped taking Zelnorm and started to search the web. I found this site, ordered the products and they arrived today.

I am eager to get started but I really don't know where to start. I am not extremely overweight, 123 pounds, but I am soft and flabby.

What is a good exercise program for people suffering from IBS - C type? I walk my dog twice a day.
I cannot attend a gym the closest one is 45 mintues away and no one speaks English there. My Japanese is not good enough to speak in depth about starting a program. I ordered Body for Life For Women and Bob Green's 12 Week Makeover program. Has anyone tried either of those? I have several Joyce Vedral weight lifting DVD's, a weight bench and I have bought some hand weights. All geared up and not sure where to start. None of my friends work out, the largest of my friends weighs 101 pounds and is my height. I feel like blimp beside her. I want to shape up for health and if I look good that is just a bonus.

I do attend a stretch class and have been considering yoga. Can anyone offer any suggestion to help me get started.
