Gentle exercises are best, but I also found that my IBS would adjust once I was used to an exercise. So if you try something and have D, don't give up, it may just take time to get used to the new movements. I haven't been able to do intense sweaty exercise in a while.

I find a stationary bike is one of the best exercises, or going for a gentle bike ride outside. Ellipticals are great, and walking is always good. Yoga would be better that pilates. Also I find doing gentle ab crunches really helps.

I treat exercise like IF, small amounts, in a gentle way, after a safe SF snack. Also try not to drink too much cold water while exercising. Drinking too much will be difficult on your stomach while it's being worked. It's not necessary as long as you make sure you drink lots of water throughout the day.
