dont let all this testing get you down, before i was officially diagnosed with IBS i had every test under the sun, colonoscopies, endoscopies, ultrasounds, mris. Its pretty frustrating especially because to most doctors, ibs is a diagnosis by elimination. IE, they cant find anything else wrong with you...so voila...IBS. The good thing is, its nice to know there is nothing sinister lurking around in your liver and guts. I had a perfect bill of health until my IBS was brougth on by a major infection and too much antibiotics. I got the flu...and the diarrhea, cramps bloating and nausea never went away.
On the back pain issue. I use acupunture to releive the pain. It feels like im holding a lot of pressure in my lower back and i find the needles lets it out.
Anyway, i hope this helps. hang in there. Being brave is a virtue.
