Hi--newbie here. I am newly diagnosed with IBS-D, and I am a vegetarian. I am particularly interested in what vegetarians with IBS-D eat, and I am excited to share how my day went with you guys. This is like a support group!
I have had a good day so far. I am taking quite a few pills though--I take chamomile, peppermint, fennel, an antispasmodic and soluble fiber with every meal! I had to come up with a system. That doesn't include my thyroid medication, acid reflux meds, acidopholus, multivitamin, etc. etc. that I take once a day. However, I felt very good today--when I do not clear a room with my gas, it has to be a good day!!!
Breakfast: cheerios w/ soy milk
Exercise: 20 mins. on elliptical and weights
Lunch: rice/beans (Smart Ones) with a tortilla a banana
Snack: carrots with a little jalepeno ranch (very little) sweet potato chips--a handful pistachios--a handful
Dinner: noodle stir fry with tons of veggies and tofu (my husband makes it for me).
I had a Mike's hard lemonade earlier--bad, bad, but I treat myself with an alcoholic drink every now and then. Hopefully I won't be paying for it tomorrow!
That's it and THANKS for letting me share. That felt good, and sometimes my husband gets tired of hearing my food stories!
