I think that is exactly what you should do!
Listen to your body. If your body doesn't like veggies at the moment, don't force it. I don't......I was....but it made me sicker, too. So, I don't do it anymore. I do, however, have to force myself to eat, period, right now because my tummy has shrunk too much.
The starchy carbs definitely are better for your IBS than straight veggies, so I think you will be feeling better really soon. Definitely stick with the cereal, too, since you like it.
As far as carbs go, I love them. They don't put weight on me at all like I would like for them to.....the only carb that I cannot do is plain white rice. GAG ME!!!!.....I hate it!!!! It makes me very C and bloated and gassy......I absolutely hate plain white rice. My body hates it, too, and it just tastes disgusting....to me
Anyway, good luck to you and keep me posted on what you're eating and how you're reacting to it!! I need to know these things for my reflux too!!
