Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Re: I haven't been pureeing, lately.

Beyond spinach/greens, I haven't been doing much pureeing of late. Why not? Well, for 2 reasons:

a.) some things taste better not fully pureed.
b.) a few of my family members have been "bugging" me about my anal habit of blenderizing everything, i.e. asking me, "so how much of your dinner was food processed." i feel like they're mocking me.

it's rather funny, i confess, how much less you eat when things aren't food processed. this leads me to suspect that's why i crave a little rice. i get tired trying to extract the energy i require from pure plant food after a certain amount of chewing time.

i suspect that my D of late could strongly be related to my lack of food processing!

re: food processed mushrooms. this is so neat!!! when you food process mushrooms prior to cooking they are sososo awesome, rather like pate or meatloaf...honestly with a little spice it so very much like ground meat and yet so much better. you would not believe it. i did this a few weeks ago. now, i'm inspired!!!

i like making fake chicken gravy, i confess.
