Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hi All,

I've been suffering with IBS for the last 8 years. Previously when people told me to take this tablet or avoid this food, I've replied it's all emotional. But maybe IBS is bigger than that.

The message below was channeled from my higher self.

Q) Why do so many people have IBS?

A) "The body is a temple of the mind and IBS sypmptoms are removable by retraining the mind. It is all in your head - but not at a conscious level. The mind's control of the gut is mostly at an unconscious level. You can alter the way your mind is operating on your gut by altering your thoughts. Your thoughts are a pathway into both the conscious and unconscious mind.

Whenever you notice a negative and limiting thought, toss it aside and choose a more positive thought that serves you. Then back this up with some positive visualisation or use of your imagination. Lastly allow yourself to let go of the result otherwise you'll be focusing on your IBS and hence the mind will be creating further stomach upset.

This mind stuff can be tricky. But the bowel trouble is there to help you - to motivate you to become a mind
master. The challenge is before you. You may not want to accept it but at a deeper level you have created this
challenge for yourself. Until you take up the challenge of becoming a master of your inner plain, you will
live uncomfortably on the earth plain. This is a forced exercise in self unfolding. The world has changed and
you can no longer live as you are. Evolve or perish. Sounds cruel but you individually and collectively have chosen this to be the mechanism for your growth."
