You must excuse my candour, but eating for IBS has made me exceptionally "anal" re: everything--food/liquid--that enters my body. Awareness of ingredients is crucial. Awareness of personal sensitivites/intolerances is vital for success. The mode of preparation, seasonings, source of the food (organic sits much better with me, and if affordable I urge you to eat organically), sometimes even the combinations can all make or break a good streak. Stress really negatively impacts IBS--it can make you C or give you D. The weather, I swear, even impacts me! Eating on a schedule really makes a difference: your gut gets accustomed to food at certain times and thus empties on a schedule (unloads?). Eating slowly makes a difference, in an unrushed completely digestible way does too. All I can say is follow the diet to the letter.
