You realy should have seen a GI doc three years ago! It's really important that all other stuff gets ruled out BEFORE you get an IBS diagnosis.

And yep, b/c can mess with IBS...in my case going on Depo helps my IBS cos I don't have periods. So there are pluses and minuses. Do a search for this..it's come up before.

I really recommend this diet and a SFS. Absolutely wonderful. And "IBS:The First Year" is a must-have book...even if (like me when I got it) you're not newly diagnosed.

Btw, posting on the "Eating for IBS" forum would be more appropriate and get more responses - that's for all IBS and IBS-diet related posts.
