It is mostly an antidepressamt , I think, anmd because I only take it for ibs. a higher dosage wouldn't make any difference for me.Your doctor should know what is best for you. Anyway, before I startedon paxil, I was feeling really bad, like I had a hole in my stomach that I couldn't fill, and it would take 2-3 days to feel better.
