Hi Rachel,
Don't know if this helps, but I'm 33 with IBS-D and have been on progesterone shots (depo) to stop my periods since '99. I do this expressly to lessen the symptoms of my IBS, and to stop my endometriosis which would have me bedridden 5 days each month. I started on progesterone 10 years ago, going off occasionally, but now I've realized I get the most benefit when I'm on.
I notice on the day of the shot I get extremely C. This has been constant with the last 20 shots. (It's when I can really eat with abandon and almost completely disregard my IBS diet.)
