I thought I would DIE when I had to do it for a colonoscopy. I agree with you that your condition is at risk and it would be too hard on you. But if I can have a small-bowel follow-through for Crohns with no fleet prep, then you can, too. Call the people who are doing it (not the turd GI, the radiologist dudes) and tell them you don't want to do the prep and why. All I had to do was drink a small (not too bad-tasting) barium shake the night before, don't eat or drink all night/morning, and drink some more barium shake in the morning and some more during the procedure. It wasn't bad at all (except I would have happily beat someone to death for a cup of coffee!!) Seriously, Kel, get your dad in on this if necessary, but if I can have the SBFT without the prep then I don't see why you can't too. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
