I knew the comment about Jack was coming!! I used to feel that way about crown and I can still drink it but not with the coke. I don't like liquor on the rocks, I wished that was my preferance though! I have a girl friend that drinks crown and water. She says the same thing as your father...don't mix it with anything or you will get ill! She never has hangovers. But I just can't stomach the liquor straight! I am curious about some martinis though.. It isn't that I like the taste of vodka, but that it doesn't seem to hurt my tummy as much. I haven't tried OJ in a while. I may have to give it a try soon!
