Maybe it's just word choice--but I think there can be a lot of strength in being connected to one's feelings, in staying with them. And in dealing with them, not hiding. I've been through childhood trauma, and can easily go into fear, self-blame, etc.--reactions from childhood that I know affect my body. I tend to internalize things. I also know healing....
