Dear Shelby, My mother is a breast cancer survivor and I respect her greatly for it. While she was going through radiation for breast cancer, she was also taking care of my father, who at the same time was undergoing intensive and highly toxic chemotheropy treatments for melanoma skin cancer. Both are now well. It so wonderful that so many more people - yourself included - are surviving cancer these days. I hope you can find someone to talk to about your anxieties - talking always helps you feel like you're not alone. And please know - you are NOT alone. We will be thinking of you and praying for you and you are one of thousands of breast cancer survivors who have become inspirational to younger girls like myself.
On the soy - I have also read things about links to breast cancer - especially those in high risk categories. Learn more so you know all the facts and not just the little bits that will make you worry. Soy somehow actually agrevates my IBS so I have never been able to use it. I use rice milk and almond milk. The almond milk is VERY sweet and works for cooking deserts that call for milk. I can also handle skim cows milk in small doses, but I know that's a no-no for lots of people.
