I'm so sorry you went through that, Shelby. It sounds like a frightening, painful experience--but one that you came out of with strength. Hurray for you! And it sounds like you're doing good things to keep healthy--like being on this diet.
I don't know anything about the soy connection, but other people's suggestions sounded good, checking things out online, with your doctor.
And stress relief--always important. Do you have any lavender plants near your home, or lavender oil? It might sound silly, but just breathing in the scent can bring great calm. Cammomile tea is great, too--and so are live hugs!  I hope you find calm, and find out good things.
