Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hi everyone,
Tomorrow is either going to be a make or break day for me and for once it's an un-IBS related issue.

I am going through the IVF process and although I said it's un-IBS related the injections, nose spray and tablets have definately not helped the IBS symptoms!

I liked the suggestion for "bitchy bowel" as a name for IBS as that has definately been me lately. I have felt sorry for my family as this cocktail of hormones going into my body has turned me into a monster. It has been pretty hard, especially dealing with IBS on top of it all.

Anyway, getting back to tomorrow. I have an appointment with my fertility doctor for a scan where we will hopefully find lots (though not too many that we have to cancel) of eggs. I'm really worrying because last time I tried this my body did not respond at all. However this time we have tried different drugs, dosage, procedure etc and my doctor is pretty confident.

If I have a good number of eggs I will be going into hospital on monday to have them "collected" under a GA. Then 48 hrs later they will transfer back two embryos. Then I can only hope that at least one of them gets comfy in there!

Anyway, I'm so nervous, I just want this to work so much!
