I have read so many posts about the effect of our monthly periods and thier impact on IBS. Before I had a Hyst., I always felt like my body was going into some type of shock. It definitely brought on the D, I always had such terrible cramping, now I am wondering if some of it may have been from IBS. I am on HRT, I have also taken Klonopin, talk to the Dr, or Pharmacist, I had a terrible addiction to it. I have never slept as well since I took it. I hope you can take these meds, and that they help you!
