I am also IBS-A and started the diet about 2 weeks ago. I became c when I started it, but I find that if I eat oatmeal every morning and take my sfs then I do okay. With the SFS you start slow. I am taking the citrucel clear mix powder and you can mix it into any drink. I started with mixing 1 teaspoon into juice 2 times a day. I have it at breakfast and dinner. I didn't notice much change after doing that, but after a week I increased it to 2 teaspoons twice a day and now I am going more normal. It just takes a while, but you have to be patient. I also just started incorporating insoluble fiber into my meals. I have lunch and then have some cucmber slices or apple slices after, I haven't tried salad again yet as I just can't digest that. Hope all of that info. helps. Let me know if you have any more questions since we're both new to this.
