I have been doing very well with regularity and bloating for the last three weeks (except the last 2 days-no more honey dew for me even after soluble) but I always seem to get hugely bloated in the night for short periods. It doesn't exactly wake me up since I pee so much anyway but when I get up I feel a lot of discomfort. Then the next time I get up it usually is gone. It is never there by morning. I have not heard of other people talking about only bloating while they sleep. Does anyone know about this and why it happens?

IBS-A for 20 years with terrible bloating and gas. On the diet since April 2004. Remember this from Heather's information pages:
"You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." Please eat IF foods!
