fibre supplement dosage - Normacol       06/24/04 01:26 PM Edit Reply Quote kitb Reged: 05/12/04 Posts: 9 Loc: Kent, UK Just after a bit of advice please? I have IBS-D and have been taking Fybogel soluble fibre supplement since Christmas which has helped a great deal. I take these twice a day normally. However last time I took in my prescription to a different chemist and they gave me a different brand - Ispagel. This is technically the same stuff I think but tasted bad and made me feel awful. So I went and got another prescription and this time when I collected it I was given Normacol. I have done a search on the boards and it sounds like it is ok to take this (I did double check with the pharmacist) but I am confused about how much to take. The sticker one the box which is meant to be the instructions from the doctor say 1 sachet daily but the sachets themselves say 1-2 sachets once or twice a day! What to do! I have a long train journey tomorrow morning which is guaranteed to make me feel rough anyway so I don't want to make it worse! Any ideas please? Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
