i was just like that till i cut out wheat... i never got tested for celiac or anything, but i noticed that even when i ate nothing but a toasted plain bagel or sourdough bread, i would bloat like a balloon, like clockwork, 5 hours later. maybe you are gluten sensitive?
oh, and another thing, i tried cutting out wheat in the past, because i suspected it, but i didn't realize that gluten also was in all the "wheat substitutes", like millet, rye, spelt... anyway, i'm off all those things now, and the bloating has never come back THAT bad like it used to. (i still get it, but nowhere near as badly, thank you rice and potatoes.)
