Hi Bev, I don't get a lot of cramping usually. so the D in that respect is not to bad. I have to admit that I have not be taking my Citricel. When I first started taking a SFS I was using Metimucil. That was just horrible so I changed to Citricel. We cant get it up here so I ordered it online. I started out taking it in a very low dose and it bound me up big time. I persisted with it over a couple months and I was still bound up but not as bad. I stopped taking it when my back pain really got bad because having C and the back pain was unbearable. I should start taking it again, but I am rather nervous about it. From Oct 03 till about 4 weeks ago my bms were fine. I didn't have C or D and everything seemed ok. As soon as I started to eat proper the D came back. Why would that be? My IBS is not as bad as most of everyone on here, I am very fortunate for that. Before I was diagnosed my major complaint was the bloating. I knew that if I had milk or egg salad or icecream that I would get D about 50% of the time. I still can have a burger at wendy's without it giving me anything but the bloating. Bloating is what I have more than anything else. The D has been happening more since I started the diet back in Auguast. Cole slaw never used to bother me other then bloating from it. I have become to hate chicken and I have never cared for fish other then canned tunna. Fish makes me gag. I love seafood but it is so expensive here, that I don't buy it much. I am going to go and buy some equalactin tommorow and see if that helps. I also take dicetel and some days it helps and other days it doesn't. I read the post lots but don't write many myself because my IBS is not as bad as others on here. My heart goes out to them and I wish that their IBS was more like mine. The only time that my IBS is like most is when I got to my MIL's for dinner. Her cooking makes me extremelly sick and I am sick for several days afterwards. Hence I don't go there for dinner very often. Do you or anyone else know as to why my IBS is acting up more with the diet? Thanks for you time. Gail
