oh, i'm not ashamed of being pale. but i do feel like for being in florida i look like a vampire ;-) and beyond that, my great aunt is the darkest caucasian i've ever seen. you wouldn't believe it. she seriously looks like she is african, except for her facial features are shaped like a european. but her skin is SOOO dark. she's been on the beach (she has an oceanfront condo) from 9 am - 4 pm every day of every summer for longer than i've been alive, i think... and i've been around 21 years. so next to her, ANYONE looks like a ghost. it amazes me that she hasn't gotten skin cancer yet.
i talked to my parents about my psychological/emotional problems today, and they're going to help me find a counselor. one more step in the right direction...
