NancyS -first of all, being 5'6" and 130 lbs I would think is just right. Gaining extra pounds can make you frustrated though, I know. And some of that may just be the from the feeling when you are bloated, and not actual weight gain.
Bloating is one of my biggest culprits so I know how you feel. Here are some tips that might help.
1. Try taking Phasyme (or other gas pill) in the mornings before you head out for the day. Maybe try Beano when you eat as well.
2. Drink lots of water through-out the day. Try to avoid drinking 1/2-1 hour before and after a meal. This will helping with bloating as well.
3. KEEP working out!
4. Take a fiber supplement like Fibercon or citrucel that does not contain phsyllium husk, gur guam - as that will cuase more bloating.
5. Watch our for those tricky triggers like hidden dairy: casein, caseinate, whey, cultured whey, lactose, calcium lactate, butter fat, dry mik, cheese, etc.
6. And I do much better with Rice products and milk rather then soy products. Soy is hard for your body to get use to at first, so you have to take it slow. Look for Rice dream milk, I think it taste the most like regular skim milk.
Ok - hope this helps!!!!! Hang it there, it WILL get bette, it is just something we have to adjust to.
