I used to also go out drinking with my friends and I don't even call them anymore because it is all I can do not to talk about how aweful I feel and I don't want to depress them. They also don't understand why I never feel well, they think it is simply depression. I mean, yeah I am depressed about having to think about my colon all the time, but if I could just feel normal again I would feel so happy. I try to tell myself that I am becoming a better person because of this, and I tell myself that it has to go away eventually. I mean, I felt normal once before so, man, I have to be able to feel normal again. I am very grateful for the message board because it makes you feel like you are not alone.
