Last weekend, we picked up a box of Redbush chai tea. It is HEAVENLY. Unfortunately, cinnamon and cloves are stimulants for me, so I have to limit myself on the chai, but I'm now curious about the redbush/rooibus leaves themselves. I know from searching on here that a couple people have tried it, but has anyone who tends towards IBS-D been drinking it long-term and noticed any unpleasant side effects?

I haven't found a whole lot of information on it elsewhere online relating to IBS; one or two "customer testimonials" indicate that it's good for constipation. If that's true, and it's mostly a stimulant, I'd definitely want to avoid it, at least for now. Which would figure - I *hate* every herbal tea I've tried except this one, and I really really really need more fluids. (I'm not a water drinker. This is so hard for me. )
