Hello everyone! I first want to thank Heather for making all of this possible! Now I will introduce myself a little. I am 26 and have only just changed my diet on Sunday. After suffering with flareups that made me cry and lay in pain, I decided to do something about. My GI doctor ordered a bunch of tests from blood work (ulcer's, etc.), ultra sound, upper GI, including Crohn's since my aunt has it. All tests thankfully came back good, but still didn't answer my stomach problems. On Friday when I called my doctor he suggested IBS and said that she would send me something on it. The light bulb came on when I thought I had symptoms of IBS while I was living in the UAE in the middle east. The dietian that I worked for blew it off and so I continued to suffer. Thankfully my fiance has been really supportive through this whole time! When I relooked at the IBS symptoms again online, I shook my head because those were my symptoms. What shocks me even more, but I think I have suffered with this since I was a kid. I was the kid who had the extremely nervous stomach and always in the bathroom. Sunday I changed my diet and so far I have never felt this good. I am already excited to see my GI dr. and let him know how I am feeling! Also he wants to talk to me about a new IBS drug on the market
Sorry for the long drawn out version (Believe me I shortened it LOL!), but I didn't just want to throw out a question without some sort of intro.
I am wondering how long I should wait before reintroducing anything? I know everyone is different, but I am hoping for even a just hint in what I should do.
