The dreaded 'M' word....

Hello
I know Heather has explained why MILK (yes, as in dairy and not soy) is not tolerated by is IBSers but I just cannot give it up. I've cracked alcohol, coffee, fat and have got the hang of the insoluble lot but I just can't replace 'normal' milk with soya. For one thing, my stomach hates soya milk and I get terrible gas from it. I find that dairy milk (or goats), heated and spiced up with cinnamon, ginger and cardamom an hour after a good oatcake biscuit breakfast goes down ok. My only symptoms at the moment are occasional gas and I have one loosish stool per day (and ONLY one in the morning). Do I REALLY have to give it up?????
Does anyone else drink it?
I used to drink litres of the stuff and a mug of hot milk has always been my comfort food. Anyone else out there a milk fan? (please!!).
