There's lots of things that can cause nausea, even something like an ear infection or other inflammation can do it ... also, dietary imbalances can do it, among them a lack of vitamin B6. But sometimes (often) it's impossible to find the cause and you just want a solution.
Peppermint can reduce nausea, and as most moms know, if you are feeling nauseated you should try to keep SOMETHING in your tummy -- crackers, bread, something bland. Avoid strong stuff like fish and tomatoes for a while, and if you can handle carbonated beverages, 7up and ginger ale are good.
Chamomile tea is another good one when you feel nauseated, and both cumin seed and caraway seed can relieve nausea. You can also make a tea of raspberry leaves and cloves -- if you don't have raspberry leaves, you can stir raspberry jam with hot water and add a dash or two of ground cloves and try that.
