meanwhile, i will attempt to, however lamely, answer the questions.

i tote it around with me in my purse (as Bev suggests) and take it before eating "on the run," like if i'm running errands and stop for lunch. i just chew up 2 of 'em and drink some water a little while before i eat (if i'm in a restaurant, i just chew 'em when i sit down, since it will be about 15 min. before the food hits the table.). i don't use these any other time, really, except a few times when i've felt a little "uh oh" rumbly... i chewed 2 then (and drank my water!) and that helped hold off the yuckies.

i don't see why not... it's soluble fiber. there's no warning on the package, that i recall. i bet you could take several "doses" a day with no problemo at all...
