Hi Kelly,
I have the same problem as you: one bad day of D, followed by 5-6 days of C. I did get Heather's book, BTW.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Take care, Carol
Welcome, Carol. I, too, am fairly new here and I tune in every day to find out what amazing advice I can try. With regards to taking Imodium and then have 5 or 6 days of C, my doc says the reason is simply that once you have slowed your system down with the imodium, it backs up and leaves you C while the D is piling up behind it and ready to "pour out" (forgive the lang.) again as soon as the compacted stuff is gone.- so it's a nasty circle. My thoughts are two-fold; one take everyone's advice and try some sort of supplement to keep your system steady, like acacia, equalactin, etc. But if you really want to continue to use imodium, try taking smaller amounts. I take 1/2 pill sometimes in an emergency and it still binds me up, but someone here had a great idea and told me to buy the liquid kind. That way I can use as little or as much as I want. You're among friends here- just keep positive and read as much as you can here and in Heather's books and you too will be on the road to better stomach health! KAL
