Hi Janey, Just reading your post. You're right!!! No one really knows how we feel when we have to do something as easy as it is for some to just take a walk after dinner. I've been suffering with IBS and just found this site last week. I have not received my IBS cookbook as yet so was reading all the posts to see what info. everyone had. I was given tickets to see Movin Out for my 40th wedding anniversary. I'm 59. I got the tickets for my anniversary in Feb. and when this got worse was worried I wouldn't make it as I was unable to get out of the house because of it. I watched what I ate and made it there Saturday in Boston. I waited to eat until AFTER the show was over as I was afraid it would act up. I took a bagel with me and munched on it in the dark during the show so when I went to eat I would be able to order something. I ordered salmon, white rice and green beans and have been OK since then. Was just so relieved to have made it out for the day. My daughter had paid so much for the tickets I didn't want to mess things up even though sometimes we don't have control over the situation. Just keep on reading the posts from everyone and believe me you'll see how much better you feel just knowing there is someone else who understands what you're going through. Best Wishes! Pat
