Hi! I am fairly new here too, but I wanted to say welcome! I was in 11th grade when I was first diagnosed with IBS. The doctor told me it was due to stress. I was always an overachiever...I had all college level classes and was working almost 30 hours a week. I was stressed to say the least. I started eating differently...kinda following this diet, then got better after about a year. Then just within the past year it has all started again. I don't know what the deal is...but I know in my instance stress plays the whole role! So...take it easy on yourself! High school is fun...just try to relax and take in all you can from this site. Everyone is SO helpful! I am only 20 now...so I understand what you mean about the long road ahead! Hang in there...we will all get through this together!!
