hey there I wish I would have had this board when I was your age! I remember being a very small child, 6, maybe seven and getting what I used to call my 'morning stomach ache' on the way to school...that ibs pain in my left side. but I was officially diagnosed when I was just 15, and I am now 24. I never used to tell my mum about my stomach ache because I wanted to be brave. I know it can be sad to be diagnosed with something, but the good news is ibs is totally manageable, and for some a blessing in disguise in many ways. Ibs has stopped me from eating the junk so many people eat today, I have become an excellent and accomodating cook, I have to exercise a lot to keep myself healthy...all these things that we do often hear about doing, but a lot of people lack discipline because they don't suffer if they don't do them, well, I suffer...so there's the blessing side. Welcome!
