I had one done about a year ago. The process before is the worst. Your suppose to drink this drink every 10 minutes, so I'd set a timer, but once your about half way through your still on the toilet at ten minutes! I couldn't finish the whole amount, I started throwing it up, but because I was pooping "clean" (no fecal matter left) it was okay.

During the test, I woke up! I remember opening my eyes and seeing the screen with my intestines on it and thinking "I'm not suppose to see that" and then it hurt. Not terrible, but enough to say ouch! That's when the doctor realized I was awake, so he stopped the procedure. He was almost done, but because he hadn't finished he sent me for a bariam (spelling?) lower GI x-ray. That wasn't bad either, just a little uncomfortable.

Anyway, I have very sharp tight corners in my intestines, and scar tissue from a surgery done in 95, which slows digestion down to a halt. So I'm glad I had the test done, at least I have some answers. My doctor said it was extremely rare for someone to wake up, so don't worry, it was probably because he had to kind of push the scope through the tight corners, and because I'm larger than the average patient I should have had more meds.

Good luck, I hope you find your answers!
