I'm so glad to have found this site, and I thank you for your kind response.
As soon as my IBS (D) starts, it usually lasts a few mos. I lose weight because I eat less, as well as different foods (bland and lowfat), plus having the D.
If the IBS stops for awhile, I can gradually put some weight back (I'm only talking about a few lbs.) because I can eat a lot more, as well as more fattening foods.
I'm under a lot of stress mostly ongoing, so I really don't know why it goes into remission. I also noticed that if I have Dr's appts, that sometimes starts it up.
I'm going to order Heather's book. I really need to get on track and have people who understand.
Do you take any meds?
I'm not currently on a soluble fiber supplement (I guess I should be). I do drink a lot of water, though.
