People from an IBS group referred me to your site/board.
I've always had IBS since I was in HS (35 yrs ago), and I now have fibro, which makes it so much worse. I've had all the tests from the gastro Dr. to rule out more serious disorders.
At least once a week, I have a bad attack of diarrhea (I take Immodium or Pepto to stop it), followed by 5-6 days of constipation. I'm totally exhausted and wiped the following day, after an attack, and it's really impeding my life.
I've been taking Bentyl for some time now (a small dose), but if I try to increase it, I'm totally drugged because I take a lot of other meds. Also, the Dr. wants me to try Pamine.
One more thing is that I've always been very thin and eating low-fat food (I eat a lot of chicken and rice) causes me to lose weight, then once the IBS calms down, I can put it back again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
