Hiya,
I don't know if this helps (someone mighta said something along these lines already!) but I have a friend who was convinced that she was lactose intolerant and that is what was giving her stomach troubles. Then her tummy started acting up, milk or no milk. She went to the doctor and got sent for a lactose test which she said was blowing into a tube, drinking something and then blowing into the tube again. The results came back and Suprise! she isn't lactose intolerant. Turns out she DOES have IBS, though. So apparently, she has the enzymes that digest lactose (which apparently people with simple lactose intolerance don't produce, but can take supplements) but her IBS won't let her near anything with milk in it. Weird, huh? If it's not one thing, it's another. Her theory is that people are actually not designed to digest any milk products (she studied up!) and shouldn't be having it anyway... I don't know about you, it doesn't make me feel any better when I _really_ want a pizza but...
