Re: New to this - lots of questions!       03/21/04 07:00 PM Edit Reply Quote chinagrl Reged: 12/18/03 Posts: 2439 They've done a lot of studies that prove that it is much harder to absorb calcium from animal based foods than calcium from green veggies/calcium enriched OJ, etc. So I don't think not drinking milk is a problem at all. You might take a calcium suppliment just to be sure but if you eat a lot of cooked green veggies (especially spinach, so high in iron and calcium!) you should be good. And yeah... be really careful with the folic acid. I'm sensitive about this one since my cousin just died from spinabifida last spring. I'm sure you're being safe with everything though. Good luck!!
