My son has been in psychiatric care for 3 years now, and it saved his life. Very suicidal and hurting himself. He finally remembered a very traumatic incident that happened from child hood, and is struggling with it, but is getting better. He also has stomach problems and anxiety issues.

I also went when I started having panic attacks and got very sick and it was quite beneficial. It is really worth a try. You do have to be comfortable with that person, in order to talk freely though. Sometimes a counselor, or Psychologist will listen to you better, as well as being in contact with the psychiatrist, for meds. Good luck, and stay strong and focused.
