It was to a type of grass, mold, and tree pollen. You know I think you're right about listening to your body. I'm trying to learn to do that, but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks! In recent years though, I have become very adamant about not allowing certain things in my life. Such as cigarette smoke. Oh boy, that's a killer! Oh my gosh, I can't breathe around it at all. I can't stand the ammonia in my floor clearner (Brite). I mop my floors with plain water in the winter time. I have to wait until I can open the windows in warm weather to mop properly. I can't stand Pine Sol either. I just can't breathe around it. I can't stand bleach either. My bronchioles swell and my nasal passages, too. I hadn't really thought of these as allergies; I just thought it was like that for everybody. What kind of cleaners are you allergic to? Anything else that you know of that bothers you? Dust is a bad thing for me, too. I hate it. My respiratory tract instantly swells up. I'm going to try to be more in tune to my body and what it's trying to tell me. You're right about that! It can all be overwhelming at times! Something I've always been curious about is this. How can having allergic rhinitis lead to infections? Why? I mean, why can't I just have the allergic reactions, without it turning into infections? Do you happen to know any answers to that? Terri Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
