Wel I went off the Metamucil and switched to the new one. I note that it stated to take only a teaspoon where I was taking a tablespoon with Metamucil. It does state that you have to follow up with a glass of water. I believe Metamucil only advises to do so. It seemed to work as I did have some movement so time will tell.
One interesting fact that both my regular physician and naturopath doctor are advising not to suddenly start increasing fibre. It may backfire. Just to be patient and not to get stressed out as they both feel that this may be an underlying cause.
