I tried doing the exact same thing the other week. Didn't work I recommend not taking the Immodium, it was worse than being hung over cause my stomach didn't like having the alcohol in it, yet I was backed up cause of the Immodium.

It's too bad you're travelling the next day, if not I'd say just enjoy yourself and call the next morning a write off. But travelling would make things very difficult. I know it's tough to go out when eveyrbody is having a few drinks and you still feel stone sober, but if I were in your position I wouldn't risk it. (but that's just me)
