Well, I can empathize, here. I would, however, advise against beer. And I would advise against more than 2. At least it's been my experience that one or two glasses of wine over a night or one or two cosmos over a night is ok. That is, it's ok if you load up on your soluble fiber first! Again, that's been my experience. But as we know, we're all totally different! And I only do this if I've been really well leading up to the night out.
I've always gotten bloaty and sick from beer (too bad, 'cause I love it!). If you don't generally get that, maybe it will be ok for you? But I stay far away, now.
I do loves me some cosmopolitans, though! (And the bonus is, since I hardly drink, I've got a low tolerance, so 2 drinks makes me a happy girl!)
