Re: MSG and ADHD!       03/03/04 02:25 PM Edit Reply Quote Gail1 Reged: 09/04/03 Posts: 62 Loc: Calgary, AB, Canada Hi Barb, my son has ADHA also and about 4 years ago our doctor put Brian (son) on a specific diet that cut out MSG along with all artifical preservative, artifical colors and flavors, no caffine or chocolate and no tomatoes or tomatoe product It has made a HUGE difference in his hyperness. When he does have some of these Items he gets so out of control it is almost unbearable. We allow him to have 7-up or sprite and I have substituted carob powder for cocoa and the carob chips for regular chips in cookies and such. MSG gives me migraines and same with Brian.
